COMMENTS: | Absorption measurements have been carried out in shock-heated acetone-argon diluted mixtures at temperatures above 300 K and up to 1100 K (and pre-shock room temperature measurements) At each temperature, the absorption cross sections between 230 and 330 nm can be approximated by a Gaussian function σ(λ, T) = A(T) exp {-[(λ - λc(T))/w(T)]2 with A(T) (10-20 cm2 molecule-1) = 3.43 + 0.00482 T(K) (maximum), λc(T)(nm) = 271.4 + 0.0156 T(K) (center of the Gaussian profile), w(T) (nm) = 26.8 + 0.00950 T(K) (characteristic width) Absorption cross sections have been obtained by personal communication from Jon D. Koch (August 2008) |
